About 18 months ago I visited the Weston Manor Hotel on the outskirts of Oxford – the famous location of Mary Millington’s blockbuster 1977 film, Come Play with Me. The hotel was a regular haunt of director George Harrison Marks for over 25 years, and a couple of days ago I too made a return visit for a celebratory meal with friends. The hotel – which nearly 40-years-ago played the central role of the fictitious ‘Bovington Manor’ in Come Play with Me – is as beautiful as ever, and the service is second-to-none. You can see more of the hotel on its fantastic website and the venue is well worth a visit.
