The latest DVD release I’ve been working on is finally released next month.
Pete Walker’s School for Sex made its début on London screens in February 1969 and enjoyed long residences at several West End cinemas in the capital, including the Cinephone, Oxford Street, and the Jacey Tatler on Charing Cross Road. School for Sex was also one of a select number of British sex comedies which made waves in the US too. In New York, the movie played solidly for two years and grossed $1.5 million. During the opening sequence of cult 1971 movie Shaft, the camera pans past a sign on 42nd Street boldly promoting: “First New York Show – School for Sex – in Color”.
School for Sex has been digitally remastered at Pinewood Studios and is now available for pre-order at Amazon.
