This photograph of Mary, in the front garden of her last home in Walton-on-the-Hill, shows her tending to a Hypericum bush. Having grown up in the heart of the green Surrey countryside, Mary loved nature in all its forms. Tragically, this picture was taken in July 1979, just weeks before her death.
